Physiotherapy or Chiropractic Care

Physiotherapy is about movement, generally working on the soft tissues (muscles, tendons and ligaments) of the body to restore normal function.

The BSM Chiropractor does manipulation to areas of the spine that are jammed up in an attempt to enhance localised function.

Sometimes it is difficult to know without assessment which practitioner type is better suited to your needs.  Bay SportsMed practitioners are knowledgeable in the techniques of the other practitioners onsite and can quickly sort out the right management plan for you.

Call us now and our experienced and skilled front desk staff will book you the appropriate appointment; Chiropractic Care or Physiotherapy!

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapists use in-depth knowledge of how the body works, alongside hands-on clinical skills, to assess, diagnose and treat people’s symptoms of illness or disability.

The aim is to restore natural biomechanics and facilitate the body’s own healing processes.

What do Physiotherapists do?

Physiotherapists understand how the body moves, what keeps it from moving well and how to regain mobility and reduce pain.  Physiotherapists aims to restore function and movement to as near normal as possible if it has been impaired.  They also help you prevent further injuries and illnesses by looking at muscle weakness and imbalance, flexibility and normal alignment.

Who needs Physiotherapy?

It does not matter if you are an elite or social athlete, have a work related injury or are a full time parent, if you have an ache, pain, discomfort or injury then physiotherapy can help you.
